Analytics Overview

IPRO Eclipse Analytics is an optional feature that your administrator may configure to assist you in identifying concepts and relationships within and across case documents. IPRO Eclipse actually learns concepts and category details; information about case content is expanded as IPRO Eclipse Analytics evaluates more and more relevant documents.

IPRO Eclipse Analytics breaks down case content using “Latent Dirichlet Allocation” (LDA), an algorithm-based approach that identifies patterns and relationships between terms and concepts within each case. There are no dictionaries or word lists; IPRO Eclipse Analytics “learns” the content of the case database as needed for effective analysis.

IPRO Eclipse Analytics accomplishes this using the Content Analyst and IPRO Analytics. Analytics includes three functions:

Permissions Required

A specific permission is required for working with IPRO Eclipse Analytics. Ask your administrator if you are not able to perform the activities explained in this section and it impacts your document review.

Working with Eclipse Analytics Fields

Several fields are created when IPRO Eclipse Analytics is implemented at your site. These fields typically begin with the prefix “IA,” and present a range of analytical data. For example, the IA Inclusive field indicates a subset of emails in a family that contains all of the text of all emails and their attachments in the family. For more information about relevant fields, see Analytics Index Fields in IPRO Analytics.

Contact your administrator if you have questions about fields and whether/how they should be used as part of your review activities.
