Change Sync User Preferences

Set user preferences to make your experience in Sync Plus more personalized and efficient. Access your preferences by clicking the Sync User Preferences button on the Sync Plus start page.

Current User Preferences include:

Show QC view as default start page	If you select this option, when you open a job in QC, the Quality Control tab is selected by default.
Show Transcript view as default start page	If you select this option, when you open a job in QC, the Transcript tab is selected by default.
Color Scheme	Use this dropdown to select the color scheme for the QC Workstation.

Transcript

Hide Hotkey tab	Hides the Hotkey tab in the Tools panel of the Transcripts tab.
Seek to previous line when using Enter key in Manual Sync mode	With this preference selected, while in Manual Sync mode, when pressing the Enter key, the video will seek to the line immediately preceding the line currently selected in the transcript.
Seek to previous line when using single left click in Manual Sync mode	With this preference selected, while in Manual Sync mode, when clicking the left mouse button, the video will seek to the line immediately preceding the line currently selected in the transcript.
Transcript Scrolling Highlight Color	Changes the color of the highlight bar in the transcript view.
Number of lines in Transcript Scrolling Highlight	Sets the number of lines the Transcript Scrolling Highlight covers when viewing a transcript in the Transcripts tab.
Arrow keys seek increments	Defines the number of seconds the media seeks backward or forward each time the left or right arrow key is pressed.

Quality Control

Hide Hotkey tab	Hides the Hotkeys tab in the Tools panel of the Quality Control tab. (Not selected by default)
Show as default tool tab	Select the tab in the Tools panel in Quality Control that appears by default.
Show full transcript in Quality Control tab	Checking this box shows the full transcript with flagged timecodes highlighted instead of showing each flagged timecode with contextual lines surrounding it in a "potential error block." Navigating the flagged timecodes remains unchanged. For example, using the up and down arrow keys to select flagged timecodes still applies.
View transcript in transcript viewer after Quality Control is finalized.	With this preference activated, once the Complete QC button is clicked in the Quality Control tab, the DVT automatically opens in the Transcript tab.
Show Highlight Bar	When selected, this option shows a highlight bar that scrolls along with the video as it plays.
Move to next potential error after verifying current potential error	If you select this option, when you update a timecode block in the Quality Control tab, the issue indicator (arrow) moves directly on to the next block for you to resolve the next potential timecode error in the Results panel.
Number of surrounding lines to display around Quality Control issue for context	Defines the number of lines shown before and after the line in question in a "potential error block".
Arrow keys seek increments	Defines the number of seconds the media seeks backward or forward each time the left or right arrow key is pressed.
Default multimedia playback speed	The default playback speed for the multimedia player can be set with this slider instead of having to change it every time a new video is loaded.

Note: If you make changes to the Quality Control preferences, you are required to close and then re-open the DVT before any changes are applied.

Publish DVT

Default Publish DVT Path

Set the default location where DVTs are published. This is the path that populates automatically in the Publish DVT dialog.

Automatically copy multimedia to destination folder: Publish with multimedia

With this preference selected, when Sync Plus publishes a transcript, the multimedia files are generated along with the transcript file.

Note: This preference has no effect on DepoView Volume or DepoView for iPad output formats.

Browse once publish is completed: Browse completed published DVT

When the DVT publish process is complete, the file explorer will open the file path destination.

Selecting any of these options will automatically select the following publish options in the Publish DVT dialog:
