Configuring Teams Archiving

With NetGovern, you can archive files, posts, and replies from direct chats, group chats, or team channels in Microsoft Teams. To archive Teams content using NetGovern, you must create a Teams archiving job in the NetGovern Admin UI.

Remember that prior to creating a Teams archiving job, you must have configured the Teams Storage Location or Live Location—see Configuring Teams Storage Location or Configuring Teams Connector.
To perform searches on the archived Teams content, you must first set up and run an indexing job—see Configuring Teams Indexing. An Index Job is not required if you only want to archive, purely for compliance reasons, and do not intend to search the data.
It is not necessary to create a policy in NetGovern to guide this job.
