Eclipse SE System Requirements

The following table lists basic requirements for the Ipro® Eclipse SE™ file server(s), Ipro Database system, application server, optional modules (which include the Eclipse SE Print Manager, Summation Migration, Scanning, and/or Streaming module), and computers on whichEclipse SE Administration will be used. Some differences are noted for the SE Streaming module. When appropriate, the file server and database may reside on the same system.

Faster processors and larger amounts of physical memory (RAM) are always a benefit. Network connectivity, network traffic, database size, storage speed, and other factors may affect performance evaluations.

Eclipse SE Administration - Native Ingestion Requirements

The local (C:\) drive of the computer on which native ingestion will be run must have free disk space approximately equal to the size of each set of documents to be ingested. For example, if a set of documents to be ingested totals 30 GB, then the computer must have at least 30 GB of free space. This space is used for the storage of temporary files created during the ingestion process.

Eclipse SE End-User Computer Requirements

The following requirements apply to end users’ computers. End users will typically be using Eclipse SE Desktop for document reviews. Other components may also be installed, depending on each user’s responsibilities.

Additional Hardware/Software Information

Authorization Requirement for Optional Modules

If you will be using the Eclipse SE Scanning, Summation Migration, and/or Streaming module, the Ipro Authorization Server is required.

Font Requirements for CJK Documents

For proper display and searching of CJK (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) documents, the Arial Unicode MS font must be installed. By default, this font is installed with Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products. If you need (but do not have) the Arial Unicode MS font, obtain it from the Typography section of https://www.microsoft.com.

Wide Area Networks - TCP/IP

Ipro Eclipse SE concurrent-user products are intended to be run in a Local Area Network (LAN) environment. Running Ipro Eclipse SE directly over a Wide Area Network (WAN) or via TCP/IP is supported. Please speak with your internal IT departments for optimal environments and configurations for this type of setup.

Citrix MetaFrame or Microsoft Terminal Services Server

Citrix/Terminal server can be placed on the same network as the Ipro Eclipse SE application and the case data. The Citrix/Terminal server(s) can be accessed over the WAN or Internet using the appropriate Citrix/Terminal client software.

Antivirus Software

As with virtually all desktop software applications, the performance of your Ipro Eclipse SE application can be affected by the most restrictive antivirus program configuration settings (specifically “scan all files” operations). Antivirus products running on the desktop, if set to the most restrictive configuration, will cause the most noticeable effect on system performance for the end-user. Antivirus products are aware that their products can cause undesirable performance under some conditions, so please be sure to visit their support sites for the most up-to-date information.

Minimum Screen Resolution

Set screen resolution to at least 1280 x 1024.

Virtualization

Ipro Eclipse SE can be used in a virtual environment – licensing, authorization, and product functionality are the same whether Eclipse SE is installed in a physical or virtual environment.

If you have specific questions on using Eclipse SE in a virtual environment, please contact Ipro Support, https://iprotech.com/resources/support/.
