Guidelines for Advanced Layouts

For more advanced layouts of the Review workspace, up to six primary regions within the workspace can be used. Tabs can exist within these regions; most can also be “freestanding" - they can exist anywhere on your desktop or on a secondary display.

What Can be Freestanding?

Any of the following components can be placed anywhere on your Windows desktop or on top of the Review workspace.

NOTE: If you are using multiple monitors, you can place different components on each monitor and save the setup. .

What Can Be Arranged Within a Specific Pane?

The following panes can include the tabs listed (together a single pane or separately in multiple panes):

Slideout panes

The tabs of either slideout pane can be arranged within either pane on the left or right side of the Review. They can also be arranged at the top or bottom of the workspace. These tabs include:

  • Case Folders

  • Relationships

  • Tally

  • Doc Tags

  • Page Tags

  • Transcript Annotations

How Can Tabs Be Arranged in Panes?

Tabs in slideout panes, the documents pane, or the document details pane can be:

  • Merged, with one tab visible at a time.

  • Placed side-by-side within a specific pane. Multiple tabs can be side-by-side.

  • Stacked on top of one another within a specific pane.

NOTE: In the documents pane, Record View is fixed on the right side. Other tabs within the documents pane can be merged, side-by-side, or stacked in the left side of the area.

Persistence of Layouts

Changes to the Review workspace layout remain until you log out or quit the program, unless you save the layout as explained in Save a custom layout.
