Granting A Case Rights

During the process of working a case, there may be situations where the case member needs to have the rights of a manager, such as when you need to delegate a case and act as the supervisor instead of managing the case. After you give full access to a case member, they can select their role as a regular case member or as case member with manager privileges and work on cases as if they were the manager.

Manager rights include the ability to track, edit, export and save cases, and place custodians on legal hold.

  • On the Case Management dashboard, select a case and click Edit Audit.
  • Select the Member Access or Reviewer Access tab.
  • Do one of the following:
  • In the User ID filter field, enter the name of a user.
  • Click the Magnify icon.
  • Select the user(s) to grant rights and click Add to move them to the right panel.
  • NOTE
    To select a range of users, hold down the Shift key, click the first name and then click the last name you want to add. To select users randomly, hold down the Ctrl key and click any name; the names do not need to be sequential.

    You can grant rights to a group by selecting a group directory.
  • Click Save.

You can select the Full Rights option for the users who should have manager rights. Doing so will give them the ability to track, edit, export, and save cases, and place custodians on legal hold. If you are unsure, then it is best to leave this option unselected.

  • On the A Case Management dashboard, select a case and click Edit Audit.
  • Select the Member Access tab.
  • On the right side, select the Full Rights option for the case members who should have manager rights.
  • Click Save.

  • On the A Case Management dashboard, select a a case and click Edit Audit.
  • Select the Member Access or Reviewer Access tab.
  • On the right side, select the user(s) to revoke revision rights and click Remove.
  • NOTE

    You can grant rights to a group by selecting a group directory.
  • Click Save.
  • On the A Case Management dashboard, select a a case and click Edit Audit.
  • Select the Member Access or Reviewer Access tab.
  • Select the Autorevoke starting on this date (inclusively) option.
  • Click the Calendar icon and select the date to automatically revoke revision rights.
  • Click Save.
