Configuring Slack Connectors

To index and archive files, posts, and replies from direct conversations, group conversations, or workspace channels in Slack, you must configure the connector and create the required Index and Archive location in the NetGovern Admin UI. You will create a Live Location, an Instant Messaging Store, and select Slack Enterprise Grid or Slack Plus as the source location.

NetGovern supports Slack Enterprise Grid and Slack Plus only. You can index and archive the data in Slack Enterprise Grid, and you can archive the data in Slack Plus.

First, you must integrate NetGovern with Office 365. Once you have completed the prerequisites for configuring the Slack Enterprise Grid or Slack Plus connector, you can create the Live Location in the NetGovern Admin UI.

Once you have created the Live Location and completed the configuration of the Slack connector, you must perform User Mapping. Next, indexing and archiving jobs must be set up to crawl and archive the data in Slack. The Live Location and content can then be included in a NetGovern case.

When you have created the location and configured the connector, you must ensure that all users are mapped. For more information—see User Mapping. For detailed steps—see Configuring User Mapping
