Taking Snapshots of Indexes

As a best practice, it is strongly recommended that you take a snapshot of the bootstrapped archive and index servers before continuing the deployment process. In the event that deployment fails or is interrupted, it would be easier to restart from the completed bootstrapping phase than to start from the beginning.

  • In the console, select your archive server, right-click and select Snapshot > Take Snapshot.
  • Select your index server, and repeat step 1.
